DAPstudio: Onboard intelligence at your command
Use the Configuration window to simplify the DAP board input, processing, and output
configurations and filter design process. On the tabs you can:
- Input: Set up your input channels.
- Output: Set up your output channels.
- Processing: Set up your onboard real-time processing.
- DAPL Listing: Display the DAPL commands that summarize all of the selections
made on the Input, Output, and Processing tabs. When you start your application,
the contents of the DAPL Listing edit box are sent to your DAP board.
- # Interpreter: Display any text data or message, including warnings and errors,
if any, returned by your DAP board.

DAPstudio gives you immediate results. It lets you see your signals – and log data acquired – on any Data Acquisition Processor (DAP) board in your PC. And it plays back your recorded signals on demand.
DAPstudio also acts as a no-coding-required development environment for creating applications with onboard intelligence. It hands you each design tool you need, exactly when you need it. It helps you quickly build an elegant and powerful end product.

With DAPstudio you can set up runtime behavior that processes acquired data right on the board and responds in real time as needed.
When you use the design tools you implicitly specify DAPL commands that define runtime behavior. You do not need to look at these commands, but you can. And you can modify them. Saving them documents your project.
See your signals live – review them offline
DAPstudio provides immediate and easy access to one or more DAP boards. To view the resulting data – either live or after you run your application – DAPstudio provides several different display options. Customize each display with 3D rendering, custom colors, and other options. Design your own custom window, incorporating any of these displays.
- - Graph: Displays graphical representations of acquired and processed data from
the DAP board. - - Table: Displays text representations of acquired and processed data from the
DAP board. - - Alarm: Sets up an Alarm window for pass/fail testing, process level monitoring,
and process range monitoring. - - Bar: Displays graphical representations, in vertical bars, of acquired and
processed data from the DAP board. - - Waterfall: Displays data acquired and processed from the DAP board as blocked
waveforms that progress back in time. - - Digital Volt Meter (DVM): Sets up a Digital Volt Meter window to display
instantaneous values.

With its highly efficient data retrieval, DAPstudio allows you to review even multi-GB files effortlessly.
Anyone can use the DAPstudio evaluation program to view data for free – simply download it from our Web site. Send your DAPstudio DMS configuration file and your logged data file to a colleague, and that colleague can use DAPstudio to reproduce the same dynamic data displays that you saw as the data were captured.
With DAPstudio's built-in support for DAPcell Server Side Disk Logging, you can collect data from multiple channels, from one or multiple Data Acquisition Processor boards, and route that data to directly to disk storage. Combined with DAPcell Server software, you can interconnect multiple such data collection stations and route data to disk cluster stations anywhere on your network. The capacity of such a system is limited only by number of networked stations you can provide.
