K9000-917 Mid-Range Microphone Calibrator
Description:
The Mid-Range Microphone Comparison Calibrator (MCC) offers calibration to 10 kHz of both precision condenser microphones and electret array microphones according to IEC 61094-5. The calibrator is available as Option 9155D-917 for use with Workstation Model 9155D or as a standalone Model K9000-917. The MCC has two microphone ports for a reference and test microphone, with adaptors included for ¼” condenser microphones and array microphones. Rather than directly exposing the microphone diaphragm to the environment, as required by electrostatic actuator techniques, the MCC operates with the grid cap remaining on the microphone, which reduces the risk of damage to the diaphragm.
