Compact USB Port Isolation- Perfect for Field Service!
2 kV Isolation is as close as your pocket. Use the new USB Port Guardian to protect your laptop while connecting to remote devices for field service or programming. This inline device connects directly into your laptop’s USB Port before the cable. Once installed, connect your standard USB cable to it and the remote device. Due to the nature of isolation and USB, bandwidth will be set to 12 Mbps when using the Port Guardian.
LOW COST USB PORT ISOLATION
The UH201 “Port Guardian” is a compact USB isolator that fits easily inside your laptop case or pocket. With male and female type A USB connectors, hook it directly to your USB port to provide 2 kV isolation. It has a high speed digital isolation chip that electrically separates your PC from the remote I/O device. Keep in mind that although it is compatible with USB 2.0, it is limited to the 12 Mbps “Full Speed” associated with USB 1.1. It does not support “High Speed” 480 Mbps throughput. This is an industry wide limitation of today’s isolation technology. It is also not backward compatible with “low speed” or 1.5 Mbps devices.
